Privacy policy
Effective November 1, 2026 · Version 1.1
This policy explains how Help Me Pick, published under the developer name StyleNest Studio (“we,” “us”), handles information in the app, on this website and on shared voting pages. For privacy questions or requests, email privacy@helpmepick.app.
Photos and AI styling
When you request AI outfit advice, the app sends your resized photo, styling question, occasion and relevant conversation context to our backend and OpenAI for analysis and safety checks. Selected style preferences, closet item labels and previously recorded outfit choices may also inform the advice. Follow-up chat may use text context without resending the photo. AI processing is not local-only.
The app converts selected images to resized JPEGs before analysis. Saving a look keeps its photo on the phone. We do not store the original analysis photo in a photo library on our backend. A shared card is different: when you approve sharing, that card is uploaded and stored as described below.
Accounts, saved content and usage
The app creates a guest identity to manage sessions and usage without requiring your email. If you register, we process your email and verification information. Session credentials are kept in OS-protected storage.
Completed checks, their photos and conversations are kept in History on the phone, with up to 30 looks. Earlier advice, occasions and messages you explicitly saved to your account may remain in the cloud until deletion. Closet photos and style preferences are kept on the phone. Closet labels and preferences selected for styling can be sent with your request. These local collections are not promised to sync between devices.
We record account identifiers, request timestamps, response status, token counts, usage counters and feedback choices to operate the service, apply limits and prevent misuse. Application usage logs are designed not to contain outfit photos or styling prompts. A short-lived server-memory cache may reuse recent advice to avoid duplicate processing; it does not store photos.
Shared cards, voting and rewards
Sharing is optional. After you preview and approve a card, we store it with the associated outfit text, occasion, optional first name and poll information. Anyone with the link can view the card and vote. Do not share a card you want to keep private. Blur can reduce visible detail but is not a guarantee of anonymity.
We process votes, optional comments and pseudonymous voter identifiers to count votes and limit abuse. Reward-related hashes, balances and expiry information support bonus checks where offered. If you record an outfit choice, it can help personalize later advice. A voting deadline closes voting; it does not automatically delete the card.
You can remove a shared link through the app. Other people may retain downloaded images, screenshots or forwarded copies. Removing a link cannot recall those copies.
Who processes information
Supabase provides authentication, database, backend functions and shared-card storage. OpenAI processes styling and moderation requests. Resend delivers account emails. Cloudflare hosts this website and provides DNS and email routing. Emails to support and privacy contacts may be forwarded to a mailbox used by the operator.
These providers may process connection details, IP addresses, service logs and other information necessary to deliver their services. Processing can occur outside your country. The AI request code uses store:false; that setting is not a promise that the provider retains no data. Provider safety, security and retention practices also apply.
Optional measurement and marketing
This landing page has no advertising pixels, analytics scripts, signup form or marketing-cookie integration. Hosting providers can still process access information.
The app and shared voting or campaign pages offer optional first-party measurement. If you opt in, we process a random app-installation or browser-session identifier, platform, timestamps, registered campaign codes, pseudonymous share references and events such as qualified page views, store-link clicks, app opens and displayed photo-check results. App measurement can be associated with your guest or registered account. Where available, a campaign or referral link can connect a consenting web visit to an app install; we do not use probabilistic matching.
Measurement events do not contain outfit photos, styling conversations, friend comments or your email. Operational records necessary for votes, limits, security and delivery are separate from optional measurement. Declining measurement does not stop styling or voting. You can change the choice in the app’s measurement controls or on the voting or campaign page. Turning it off stops collection and requests erasure of the associated measurement session; a failed request can be retried when connected. Account deletion also requests removal of account-linked measurement records. Browser and app choices are separate.
Raw measurement events are retained for up to 90 days and referral-click records for up to 7 days, subject to the service’s cleanup process. Campaign labels, cost records and resulting aggregate reports may remain without identifying your individual activity. Account emails are operational messages. Marketing permission, if requested, is separate and optional.
Optional vote notifications
If you enable vote notifications, we store a private device notification token linked to your account and send it through Expo and the platform notification service (Apple or Google). Notification messages contain no outfit photos or friend comments. You can disable notifications in your phone settings. Account controls and deletion also remove associated device registrations.
How long information remains
Local saved content stays on your device until you remove it, clear app data or uninstall, subject to your device’s behavior. Earlier account-linked saved advice and shared cards remain until deleted; the current service does not apply an automatic content-expiry schedule. Operational and pseudonymous quota records may remain for usage control, abuse prevention and security. We do not promise a fixed deletion period for those records.
Account deletion removes shared-card files and the authentication account, revokes sessions and deletes associated records configured to follow account deletion, including saved advice and feedback. It also requests deletion of account-linked measurement records and removes device notification registrations. The app then clears local account data on that phone. Some quota and pseudonymous records are not automatically erased by account deletion. Backups, provider records, recipient copies and data on other devices may remain subject to their separate retention processes. We do not promise immediate deletion from every system.
Your controls and requests
You can choose whether to request analysis, save advice, add closet items or share cards. Use the app’s account controls to delete the account. Clearing data on the phone or removing a locally saved look does not by itself delete the cloud account or all cloud saved advice. See account deletion for the steps and external request option.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete information, or to object to certain uses. Email privacy@helpmepick.app from the address associated with your account. We may ask for information needed to verify ownership; we will not ask for your password or sign-in code. If you do not have access to that email, explain the issue without sending sensitive documents unsolicited. We handle requests under applicable law.
Security, permissions and others’ photos
We use account access controls and service-provider security features. No system is guaranteed secure. Local saved content is not represented as end-to-end encrypted. Android backup is disabled in the reviewed app configuration; your device’s own photo library and copies you export are separate.
Camera access is used to take outfit photos. You can instead choose a photo. Submit only photos you are entitled to use and avoid including other people or private information unnecessarily.
Children and changes
